Where has the time gone?

I don't really know where the time has gone but I have seriously let this blog go.....so I guess I will try and catch ya'll up on what is going on with us.

Steve and I have moved! Thank goodness! I will do a post on the new house another time. We LOVE where were are. Such a better area and a great landlord.

We both got new callings at church. Steve is Ward Clerk and he is doing really well at that. He was called a couple months ago. I just got called as into the YW presidency as 1st counsellor. Whoa! I know! I am enjoying that but feeling a bit overwhelmed as I am still organizing the Relief Society additional meetings. We are in the midst of planning New Beginning's for the YW and the Relief Society Bday party with in a week of each other. My mind is ALL over the shop!

I have been getting really into baking over the past year and am loving it! I have done a couple goodies for the family and am actually about to do some cupcakes today for church tomorrow.....

 This is Dylan's 17th Birthday cake that I made. It was the Avenged Sevenfold band logo and the interior was choc and vanilla marble. He loved it!

 I made this red velvet with homemade cream cheese icing for Christmas with Steve's family. It was a hit!

I wanted to experiment with fondant so I made a new years cake to take to Steve's parents on New Years Day.


We moved last May and a couple weeks after that I went home for a 6 week visit! It was great and I got to miss almost all of winter here! I miss home a ton and can't wait til my next visit but I don't know when that will be :( taking donations!
I missed having Steve around since we couldn't afford for him to fly over too, but next time I am def taking him with me!

Since the new year I have joined a new gym and found a new PT. I had tried doing Michelle Bridges' 12 Week Body Transformation. But it wasn't working for me....I need help pushing myself in the gym. I am doing well creating balanced meals with the help of the myfitnesspal app on my phone and my PT. I have done well and lost a bit of weight. This week I thought I would gain or maintain because I had an ingrown toenail removed and couldn't get my shoes on but I have done well and kept eating right. Praying that this time my efforts are going to stick!

Still no job for me, and I was doing school online, unfortunately can't afford to keep going at the moment but hopefully will get back into it soon. I am applying to anything and everything and just having no luck. Praying that one of us finds a job soon. Steve is still working full time at the chicken farms but I am really hoping that he will find something that is a bit better soon.


I am doing twitter now so that I keep up with some of the shows I watch....it is fun tweeting back and forth when the shows are on. Maybe one day I will get my tweet on TV.... a few of the contestants and actors have "followed" me back so that is rather excited. If you have twitter follow me @mjenyns

Don't want this post to get too long and have everyone that doesn't read it loose interest! I will pop up another post about our new place, my trip home, and Christmas soon.
