Painting The Town Red....

Soooo....
not exactly painting the town...or even the house! lol but I did a bit of a mani/pedi on myself today with some bright red nail polish! I haven't painted my nails in ages! And I don't usually go for bright red! I am a baby pink kinda gal.
Anyways....I went to Royal Womens' last week and had a grand ole time hiking around Melbourne on a chilly, wet day! Things were off to a slow start from the get go and I ended up waiting in the waiting room for over two hours for one doctor...and asking reception twice!! didn't seem to help! But once that was over with I met with the dietician and support nurse...and was told about a reception position(!!) that I could apply for...so I am waiting on the details about that and hopefully something will come of it! Other than that not much to report on the health front...they just told me to keep loosing weight and keep watching what I eat...so I gotta keep on keepin' on..
It gets a little frustrating when it seems like I am not loosing weight or even just hearing something new from the doc's! They won't give me any ovulation inducing drugs until I am under 90 kgs so I have a bit more to go...but hopefully if that doesn't jump start things on its own...they can dope me up! Until then I just have to remember why I can't have those Oreos or why I need to go to the gym everyday instead of just 3 times a week...fingers crossed I can stay motivated!
I think that is the thing I have the hardest time with...staying motivated! It is soooo hard!! I do so good for a couple weeks....sometimes as long as a month and then there is always that bump in the road that trips ya up! So I need all the prayers I can get people!! :)

Thoughts...

Some random thoughts as I sit here tonight and listen to my husband shout into his new gaming Headset...and just a note to ya'll out there he isn't really a gamer, this is like his once a fortnight gaming sesh.
Anyways...since he has to use our TV to do this, I get the computer....and time to think to myself a bit...sort of...there is a lot of background noise, which led me to the conclusion that this would be looked back on as a quiet evening once we have kids...and then it got me thinking about kids...
I have been alluding to it for awhile I suppose, but truth is I want to have a baby. Well I should say WE want to have a baby, as Steve wants to start a family too.  I haven't come right out and said it til now because well...I was nervous about the reaction I would get from everyone...and still kinda am, but I thought about it tonight...why does it matter what everyone else thinks? We have been married almost a year and a half...we are fairly settled where we are. I don't think we will be moving anytime soon as we have great financial security here. As sad as I am to be away from all my family and friends...I don't see putting off starting my own family until we are able to move back....I could be waiting ages! And I always said I would never put off having children for any reason other than health issues for either me or the hub's.
So there...I have come out and said it! We are trying to start our little family. We'll see how it progresses. Who knows...we could be unlucky and never have our own kids...but hopefully that won't be the case. I am the most impatient person..so this wait and see game is sooooo annoying but I just have to keep reminding myself it will all be worth it in the end.
I don't know where we will be this time next year..it is interesting to think about...I know where I hope we are in a year....but even if we are the same as we are now...healthy and employed..I will be fine.
But I am very excited at the idea of being able to buy some of those cute little outfits in the stores, and pick out baby names, and set up a little nursery. All the little things that led up to a brand new little Baby Jenyns. ha! I have never said that before "baby Jenyns" but it sounds good.
And just a little end note here...I am not pregnant! So none of my family start emailing me asking if I am because I am not...
  ...
...as far as I know. ;)

Happy August!

Where the heck has the year gone? I just don't know...it seems like yesterday it was our one year anniversary! Now we are getting so close to Christmas!? We had some random beautiful weather last week and I was really hoping that spring was kicking up early because I am soooo tired of the cold! But are back to cold and rainy this week. Hopefully September will be kinder. With nicer weather coming Steve is wanting to take a long weekend somewhere....not sure where to yet though...I am really wanting to go to Tasmania but it is a bit more $$ than I thought :( maybe we can go to Mansfield and see where The Man From Snowy River (!!!!!) was filmed. I am really excited for Christmas to come as well. I have already started shopping...but am not even close to done! I can't wait to start decorating and stuff...I just love it...although it doesn't quite feel the same in the summer heat as it does in the winter.
Not much news to report...I am going for a check-up at the RWH on the 18th this month and have no idea what to expect this time....and Idk if they are going to have me make a followup appointment or not...I really don't want to leave the clinic but now that some issues are resolved they may see no need to continue my care. I really don't know.
We have an inspection today on our house so I suppose I should go finish straightening up and what not....but I really can't be bothered scrubbing anything down...I did that for when Steve's friend Rueben came up this weekend and he only left yesterday lol so the house is pretty spotless except for a dish here or a full recycle tub here....lol they shouldn't care...they are just coming to make sure we are not destroying the house!
I will post more after my visit with RW's and see what they have to tell me.
